The homes I admire reflect their locale in a way that feels both easy and stylish.

Hi, I’m Jennifer Hieger, and I’m the founder of Home Edit Seattle. There is a London based designer I admire named Beata Heuman. Her designs are beautiful and exuberant. Beata says, “Every room should sing.” I love this sentiment. Regardless of the colors or textures a client is drawn to, every room should have something to say. At Home Edit, we look for opportunities to be expressive. It’s about the mix of old and new, excellent craftmanship and so many other elements.

I developed a love of interiors while working in Southern California after college graduation. There I served as senior director of public relations at The Irvine Company, the nation’s largest private real estate firm. I admired the warm minimalism of California modernism and the white-washed, laid-back eclecticism of the coast’s beach bungalows. Homes reflected their locale in a way that felt both easy and stylish. I was hooked.

So I enrolled at the Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach and began plotting a career change. Now, all these years later, I am so grateful for my journey.

On the personal front, I live and work with my husband and three children in Seattle’s View Ridge neighborhood. I’m always tinkering with our own house, and they are the very best guinea pigs a girl could ask for.

If you are interested in working together, I would love to hear from you! Please fill out this short form, and I’ll be in touch soon.
