The most beautiful homes are a well-edited mix of elements. They respect their location and architecture but leave room for the unexpected.
We love working with Seattle area homeowners who share a similar sensibility and do our best to make the design process straightforward and enjoyable.
We offer two types of flat fee interior design services – one for those who want help with furnishings only, and one for clients who are planning a remodel.
Interior Design for Furnishings
A home is a retreat, as well as where we welcome family and friends. It’s where we spend most of our time and make countless memories. It follows, then, that our homes should make us happy. If you need help getting there, Home Edit Seattle would love to help.
Our process typically includes:
Research. We get to know our clients and their aspirations for their homes, in terms of both style and function.
A design plan. This starts with developing an overarching vision for a space and continues until we've specified each and every detail that will turn that vision into reality. Each plan is tailored to the client, but the work product often includes the selection of color palettes, furnishings, light fixtures and so on.
Trade consultation. Projects often include work by tradespeople, such as painters and wallpaper installers. When this is the case, we communicate on behalf of our clients to ensure that their work aligns with the design plan.
Installation and styling.
Projects can be as small as single room or as large as an entire home.
Minimum design fee: $3,500.
Interior Design for Remodels
In a remodel, the decisions sometimes seem endless. Which tile here? What hardware there? If you are planning a remodel, Home Edit Seattle can make the process simpler and the results more beautiful.
Our process typically includes:
Research. We get to know our clients and their aspirations for their homes, in terms of both style and function.
Architectural review. We review the architectural drawings in order to understand the possible issues and opportunities.
A menu of finish elements. After establishing an overarching design vision for the remodeled space, we specify all aspects of the remodel that have an aesthetic component, such as tile, plumbing fixtures, hardware and flooring. This is a turnkey document that clients can then share with their contractors.
Trade consultation. We communicate with a client’s contractor and subs to ensure that their work aligns with the design plan.
Projects can be as small as single space or as large as an entire home.
Minimum design fee: $3,500.
In both cases, Home Edit’s approach to residential interior design in Seattle is a creative, collaborative process.
